AM recently attended the opening of Nick Walker’s (interviewed) exhibition at the Quin Hotel in Midtown New York City. Marking the kick off of the first ever artist in residence for the hotel, the famed UK artist pulled out some great stencil compositions to deck out his paintings. Previews: Nick Walker @ Quin Arts

On January 21st (6-9pm), Nick Walker (interviewed) will be opening a solo show at the Quin Hotel in New York. As the hotel’s inaugural artist-in-residence, the British artist already has 15 original pieces for display in their permanent collection. Releases: Nick Walker – “The Last Ride” Print

Nick Walker (interviewed) will have a new print entitled The Last Ride on sale on Monday, the 12th October, at 3.30pm DST UK time. The print was inspired by a portrait by Butterfly featuring the UK artist in his signature vandal outfit riding a carousel horse next to the Eiffel Tower during a visit to the French capital. Produced in an edition of 150 on Somerset Satin 410 gms and sized at 66cm x 96 cm, it will be available for £400 online from the UK-based artist’s website. Last week, Nick Walker (interviewed) opened his new show at Above Second Gallery entitled Entropy. If in September, we brought you a look while the Bristol-based street artist was creating new body of work in his studio, so we come full circle now with a look at the artwork hanging in the Hong Kong showspace. Releases: Nick Walker – “Painting the Town Red” Print

Working with Prints on Wood, Nick Walker (interviewed) will have a new print on sale tomorrow, April 3rd (1 pm PST), entitled Painting the Town Red / Hong Kong Street Scene Two. Inspired by his associated trips to Hong Kong, the UK-based artist has placed his signature Vandal character smack dab in some iconic HK urban architecture. Produced in an edition of 25, and sized nicely at 30 x 40 inches, it will cost $1000 to add this to your collection. Discuss Nick Walker here.

Showing: Nick Walker – ‘Vicious Beauty’ @ Galerie Brugier-Rigail

UK artist Nick Walker (interviewed) is currently showing a new body of work entitled Vicious Beauty at Galerie Brugier-Rigail in Paris. Running until April 4th, the British artist’s  first solo exhibition in the French capital features his signature Vandal character and little girls with balaclava in various situations as well as hints of new directions he will be further exploring. Upcoming: Nick Walker – “Vicious Beauty” @ Galerie Brugier-Rigail

Set to land in Paris on March 19th, Nick Walker (interviewed) will be opening a solo show entitled Vicious Beauty at Galerie Brugier-Rigail. Street art fans in the City of Light are certainly no strangers to the work of the Bristol-based artist as the capital city is only a short trip across the Channel, making it easily accessible for the Vandal (examples here & here). Likewise, Walker’s famous character will be making an appearance indoors for the exhibition and no doubt outdoors in the wild as well. Discuss Nick Walker here.

Openings / Setup: CUT IT OUT! @ Urban Nation

A couple weekends ago, Urban Nation continued their ongoing arts program in Berlin with a new show curated by Henrik Haven & Olly Walker entitled CUT IT OUT!. Focusing on the artistic merit of the stencil, the group exhibition brought together some well known street artists skilled with the technique.
