It looks like Nychos just dropped a new print entitled Translucent Hare, which is appropriate at this time seeing as Easter is coming up. The 24 x 24 inch giclee print features one of the anatomic dissections the Austrian streets artist is known for. With the beginning of August upon us, It’s time to take a look back at some murals that caught our eye last month in this edition of Streets World Roundup, mostly painted in July. First up is this amazing makeover of a 19th century castle in the Loire Valley of central France by Okuda featuring his colorful and prismatic style (photo edited from ChopemDown Films). Entitled Skull in the Mirror, this project (part of the recent Label Valette Festival) by the Spanish artist is not the first time […]
It’s been a long time since our last Streets World Roundup so we won’t be able to catch you up with all the murals we have been enjoying the last year or so. We can however share what caught our eye in June though. Up top we have a mural from Eduardo Kobra in Carrara, Italy with a very unique placement. Painted in the famous Carrara quarry where Michelangelo and so many other renowned Italian artists sought marble for their works, the new 12 x 20 meter […]

In addition, the Vienna-based street artist will be holding workshops while in Australia (for booking and more information on the course in Sydney click here for Melbourne click here). […]

Recently in Linz, Nychos painted one of his largest and most detailed murals to date for the Mural Harbor project. The Austrian street artist certainly gave his best effort for this piece in his motherland which was entitled Translucent Serpent – two huge snakes, one with its insides exposed. Utilizing a generous amount of Montana Gold “Lime”, Nychos was able to leave a great example of his anatomical style next to the train tracks. This week in Providence, Nychos continued his hectic schedule with a snow leopard mural for the INFLUX public art festival put on by The Avenue Concept. The nonprofit organization working to bring sustainable public art to Rhode Island welcomed in the Austrian artist (with the help of INOPERAbLE) to paint his distinctive cartoonish dissected imagery for the project concentrated in two locations – downtown Providence and the “Cultural Corridor” between Classical and Central High Schools. Take a look at more photos of the piece below… Photo […]

After a look earlier this week at what ROA painted for the BUKRUK Urban Arts Festival in Thailand, here now is a look at Nychos’ contribution. Taking inspiration from the Bangkok heat, the Austrian street artist painted a rubber ducky on meltdown, of course with the insides revealed with his usual aesthetic.
