Streets: Nychos // Titanes Project (Spain)

Recently in Spain, Nychos completed a series of murals with a focus on skeletons for the Tatanes Project in the province of Ciudad Real. Curated by Okuda, the program seeks to promote social inclusion for people with disabilities through art by creating a public art museum of top international artists on unused silos in Porzuna. Entitled The Pillar Of Unified Love, the four part piece from the Austrian artist delves into losing the fear of death by utilizing this traditional morbid motif in a way that directs the […]

Streets: Nychos x Low Bros (Los Angeles)

Earlier this month in Los Angeles, Austrian artist Nychos and German duo Low Bros teamed up for a mural in the backyard of new gallery Studio MOMÉ. The wall is not the first collaboration between The Weird Crew members, and while it features Nychos’ signature dissected imagery, it interestingly seems to be missing the retro futuristic geometric forms from the Low Bros who opted to instead add some of their repeating motifs – tennis ball, soda cans, and rose – to the composition. Check out some more […]

Streets: World Roundup (July 2017)

With the beginning of August upon us, It’s time to take a look back at some murals that caught our eye last month in this edition of Streets World Roundup, mostly painted in July. Entitled Skull in the Mirror, this project (part of the recent Label Valette Festival) by the Spanish artist is not the first time […]

Streets: World Roundup (June 2017)

It’s been a long time since our last Streets World Roundup so we won’t be able to catch you up with all the murals we have been enjoying the last year or so. We can however share what caught our eye in June though. Up top we have a mural from Eduardo Kobra in Carrara, Italy with a very unique placement. Painted in the famous Carrara quarry where Michelangelo and so many other renowned Italian artists sought marble for their works, the new 12 x 20 meter […]

Streets: Nychos // Mural Harbor (Austria)

Recently in Linz, Nychos painted one of his largest and most detailed murals to date for the Mural Harbor project. The Austrian street artist certainly gave his best effort for this piece in his motherland which was entitled Translucent Serpent – two huge snakes, one with its insides exposed. Utilizing a generous amount of Montana Gold “Lime”, Nychos was able to leave a great example of his anatomical style next to the train tracks. Streets: Nychos (Rhode Island)

This week in Providence, Nychos continued his hectic schedule with a snow leopard mural for the INFLUX public art festival put on by The Avenue Concept.
