Os Gemeos for Back2Black Festival (Brazil)

It looks like the twins are back in their home country after showing in Los Angeles, Italy, and Germany. As usual, when Osgemeos get involved in a project, they like to go big. This “balloon head” installation, something we have never seen before, was put together for the Back2Black Festival (August 27-29) in Rio de Janeiro featuring, music, art, discussion, debate, expositions, culture and shows that showcase all the influences of African culture in Brazil. It’s well established that will.i.am is a patron of the arts as evidenced by his involvement with the Grammy art shows (2009 and 2010) and music video featuring the work of Shepard Fairey. This morning, the Los Angeles MOCA lifted the veil of secrecy on its highly anticipated “Art in the Streets” exhibition. The clock is ticking as the artists are putting the finishing touches on the Art in the Streets exhibition at the MOCA Los Angeles.
