We recently received these exclusive shots of Pejac working on an indoor mural in London. Titled Entelequia (entelechy), this beautiful symbolic piece was commissioned by the Sushisamba restaurant for their Heron Tower private entrance. the new image mixes elements of his previous work – cherry blossom flowers from his recent image and sold out print release Sepukku (covered), with a girl on a swing, one of the images he used to paint on windows. Spanish artist Pejac (introduced) was recently in Istanbul where he created a triptych of pieces in Uskudar, the Asian part of Istanbul. The idea was to create an “eye trap” that will emphasize the strength and the illusion of the works by creating a sort of physical bond between them. Titled Lock, Poster and Shutters, the works where made between October 5th to 10th, using acrylic, sand paper and graphite. Recently, street muralist Pejac (Art Focus) painted at a unique location just off the the shores of Canabria in northern Spain. Paying tribute to a famous Monet painting, Impression, Sunrise, the locally based artist recreated the image on the barnacled hull of an old ship. Viewers of the piece can enjoy different perspectives as the tide rises and falls against the corroded “canvas” that Pejac used. Pejac (introduced) recently visited Paris and left a several new pieces scattered around the city. We just got these images of the last three pieces he did there, and even though quite different in their concept and style, they are examples of his wittiness and talent. Spanish artist Pejac (featured), recently created this fantastic new outdoor piece in his hometown of Santander in Spain. More of an intervention than just a painting, this piece is called Wallcanvas and was created as a tribute to Lucio Fontana and his cut-off paintings. Spanish artist Pejac whose diverse works we introduced recently (Art Focus), just announced a release of his limited edition print. The large image titled Sepukku is features a silhouette of a Japanese samurai, performing Seppuku or Hara-Kiri, a form of ritual suicide by disembowelment, by using a Sakura branch (cherry blossoms). This image was originally created as an acrylic and oil on canvas, and painted with a minimalist color palette, one of the artist’s signature elements.
