After a look at some of the artists at work on their pieces for the Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans project sponsored by the PangeaSeed Foundation, here is a look at some select walls they painted. The muralists were invited in by the non-profit in Napier, New Zealand to create works to raise awareness for ocean environmental issues. The beautiful piece painted above was Askew (photo by Olivia Laita). Take a look at more of the walls below…

Kicking things off though is this new piece in Sri Lanka from the UK-based Phlegm. The rare splashes of color seen stem from his use of car paints in this wall. Other notable pieces come from RONE – Miami, Meggs – Miami, Phibs – Miami, Escif – France, Belin x Koka – Mexico (source), Dabs Myla truck – Miami, Prime […]
While roaming the streets during Basel Week Miami, AM came across our old friends from POW WOW, Meggs and Phibs working on a massive collaborative mural. Situated in the Wynwood Walls district, the piece featured Meggs’ phoenix and flames combined with Phibs characteristic patterns. Stop by to see it for yourself if you are in Miami. Discuss Basel Week Miami here. Discuss Meggs here.
Continuing our look on the streets of Hawaii, the impact of POW WOW and the artists brought in from around the world on the industrial district of Kaka’ako is undeniable. This time we look at the building that houses former UFC champion BJ Penn’s gym. Artists hailing from Australia (Meggs & Phibs), Britain (Will Barras & Mr. Jago) and New Zealand (Peap Tar) collaborated along side Hawaiian artist Angry Woebots to create an impressive piece. Check out a more detailed looks after the jump.
