Streets: Philippe Baudelocque (Paris)

Philippe Baudelocque recently took part in the ongoing BergeStreet event on the banks of the Seine in Paris. Creating one of his signature chalk drawings in public, the Paris-based artist created this interesting, delicate mural inspired by the sculpture of a rhinoceros from the forecourt of the nearby Musée d’Orsay. Baudelocque has been a fan of the museum since his early age, and this is his tribute to it and the “silent but powerful” sculpture (in different perspectives) by Alfred Jacquemard. Along with the drawings of the rhino, the […]

To celebrate the upcoming launch a giant Keith Haring […]

Streets: Philippe Baudelocque (Paris)

French street muralist Philippe Baudelocque recently painted a new piece in his home city in his signature style. The gorilla joins his menagerie of animals that have made it onto walls in Paris, rendered in a patchwork of abstract patterns. This was placed on the door of Magnum Photo’s Paris office. Follow Baudelocque on Facebook for more updates. Photo credit: Un Oeil Qui Traine. Discuss Philippe Baudelocque here.

It almost makes AM want to take a trip to the much maligned Motor City to see all the walls for themselves, proof that the project is working. Other notable murals include work from: Jaz – France (source), Graphic Surgery (Poland), Remi/Rough (Melbourne), Dal East […]

Streets: World Roundup Oct 10 – 16

Because the scope of coverage here on AM of street murals & graffiti is steadily expanding, we will be doing a weekly roundup of new work (or work that has not been featured in their own individual articles yet) from around the world. Some of these would have been previously mentioned in our weekly Overtime articles, but since this particular sort of news is so image-based, we will be isolating them out into a separate series for your enjoyment. For our first installment, we focus […]
