Openings: Winter Group Show @ White Walls

In addition to Travis Louie’s (interviewed) opening at Shooting Gallery last weekend (covered), the Winter Group Show debuted alongside in the adjoining White Walls gallery. Featuring some heavy hitters such as Shepard Fairey (featured), the Clayton Brothers (featured), and Anthony Lister (interviewed) the group show also boasts some upcoming and very exciting talent, namely artists like Nas Champas, Mark Warren Jacques (interviewed and pictured above), Aaron Nagel, and Casey Gray. White Walls SF is gearing up for a big group show which features Kill Pixie, Greg Gossel (interviewed), Katy Horan, Ernesto Yerena, Timothy Karpinski, Mark Warren Jacques (interviewed), Erik Foss, Henry Gunderson (interviewed), Mike Shine, Phillip Lumbang, and more. Here’s a little sneak peak at some new works from Shepard Fairey (featured), Clayton Brothers (featured) and Anthony Lister (interviewed) that will be at this show. T-minus 4 days to Baby Tattooville and as promised we bringÂ sneak peeks from three more artists that will be in attending. The first up is the crazy talented and even more imaginative Greg “Craola”Â Simkins (Interviewed). With a his finely honed skills with the brush, he continues to create beautiful paintings for one sellout show after another. Jeff Soto makes his United Kingdom debut this week with his solo show entitled “The Inland Empire” (teased) opening Thursday, May 14th, at Stolenspace. AM caught up with Soto ahead of the show to try and understand how the show came together, the symbolism and meaning behind his new work and how fatherhood has changed his career as an artist. Stencil sensations Logan Hicks and Broken Crow (Mike Fitzsimmons & John Grider) took some time do an interview with AM for their upcoming “drive-by” show “Broken Horse.” The much anticipatedÂ urban stencilÂ show will be held inÂ an awesome venue that was once the Hamilton Savings & Loan in Brooklyn, opening tomorrow, May 1st, from 7-11pm.
