For those starting to look for Christmas gifts already for that special art-loving someone, you may want to take a look at this limited edition blanket just released by Jonas Wood. Produced in an edition of 50 and offered through House of Voltaire, the 100% lambswool blanket is sized 220 x 130cm and features one of the American painter’s signature still lifes. Pirelli HangarBicocca recently released a new book documenting the creation of Os Gemeos’ intervention for their Outside the Cube project (covered). Efêmero includes exclusive photo documentation of the project along with text by project curator Cedar Lewisohn as well as an overview of the duo’s most important artworks. The large mural that was painted over the course of only several days (back in April of 2016) was dedicated to the mother of the famous Brazilian art twins. The time-limited edition will be available for 24 hours and will never be reprinted after this release. Tomorrow morning (November 21st) at 8am PST, Porterhouse will be releasing two editions from Mark Ryden (interviewed) featuring the image from his Queen Bee painting. The first one (seen above) is a replica of the announcement for his upcoming Cámara de las Maravillas exhibition at the Contemporary Art Center of Málaga in Spain. Tomorrow (November 14th) at 10am PST, Josh Keyes (interviewed) will be releasing a new print through Modern Eden entitled Phantom. The image is taken from a painting Keyes contributed to a current group show at the gallery in San Francisco and features a surreal scene with a shark swimming through a flooded forest, a reference to the dangers of global warming that is often seen in his work.
