Releases: Nuart Festival 2016 Box Set

In collaboration with Nuart Gallery (former Reed Projects), Nuart Festival has released an exclusive series of signed limited edition prints to support this year’s event. The box set consists of a total of 14 prints measuring 12” (30 x 30cm), one from each of this year’s participating artists. Each box set consists of 6 gicleé and 8 hand-pulled screen prints, giving a chance for collectors to own part of Nuart history while helping to fund the festival. Releases: James Jarvis x Case Studyo – “AMPHORA” Vase

Case Studyo recently added a new product to their rapidly expanding line of artist collaborations with something they worked on with James Jarvis (interviewed). AMPHORA is a limited edition (run of 100) vase that features one of the British artist’s recognizable cartoon characters that is a play on the title of the piece (derived from the Greek “ampiphoreus” meaning “bearer”). As part of the Lazarides Gallery 10th Anniversary celebrations, Lazarides Editions studio just released Katrin Fridriks‘ latest print Noble Awakening. The second collaboration between the acclaimed Icelandic artist and her London-based gallery is sort of a follow up to her solo show Macrocosm (covered). Releases: James Jean – “Chang’e” Print

In celebration of another Chinese holiday (also see CNY), James Jean (interviewed) will be releasing a new print for the Mid-Autumn Festival. Entitled Chang’e, the edition will be time limited for 24 hours from 8:00 AM PDT on Thursday, September 15th and ending at 7:59 AM PDT on Friday, September 16th. The nasty one, Neck Face (interviewed), recently released a new line of clothing with Guilty Parties of Japan featuring his provocative imagery. Ranging from t-shirts, jackets, hoodies, to Hawaiian shirts, all the different designs can be seen at a special release party coming up in Tokyo on September 9th. Greg “Craola” Simkins (featured) recently announced the release of a sculpture from Silent Stage entitled Beyond The Sea. The limited edition (run of 25) resin sculpt from the Los Angeles-based artist is based on one of his surreal paintings (see below) and measures 21″H x 19″D x 13″W. Tomorrow (August 30th) at 8am PST, Mark Ryden (interviewed) will be releasing the 1st printing of his Micro Portfolio 7 – The Gay 90’s Exhibition through Porterhouse. The 24 oversized (9″ x 6″) postcards includes paintings and drawings from The Gay 90’s Olde Tyme Art Show (covered) and The Gay Nineties West (covered). Releases: Jim Houser – “Sidewalk Hymn” Print

Sidewalk Hymn is a new print released by Jim Houser through 1xRUN. The standard edition comes in a run of 40 and costs $65 whereas the hand-embellished edition comes in a run of 15 and costs $150. Measuring 24 x 18 inches, the prints are signed and numbered, have a COA included, and having framing as an option. The People’s Print Shop recently released a new limited edition from Rod Luff entitled Afterglow. Available in a signed and numbered run of 30, the image from the Sydney-based artist is taken from his piece from the recent Moleskin V group show which he co-curated. A few months after completing a mural with this same image in Bodo, Norway, Rustam Qbic recently announced a new hand finished print release through Unframed Editions. After School screen prints will be released on Tuesday, August 23rd at 6pm London time (1pm New-York) in two editions.
