Releases: Joe Sorren – “My Aim Is True”

In preparation for his upcoming show at Jonathan LeVine Gallery, artist Joe Sorren (featured) has a fresh print lined up for fans. Entitled My Aim Is True, the Arizona-based artist mentioned that its title is from an Elvis Costello song he was listening to while painting and conveyed the concept of “faith” of which the painting was getting at. Andrew Hem (interviewed), who we last saw a year ago during his solo in Los Angeles (covered), has something new for his fans. The folks at 1xRUN just released a new print from Nathan Spoor entitled Rites of Passage in a time-released run of 40 for the next 7 days. Futura x Hennessy Launch Party (Los Angeles)

Last night, Hennessy held the Los Angeles premiere (see NY launch here) of the VS cognac bottle designed by Futura at an exclusive launch party held at the Milk Studios in Hollywood. The special bottle is a continuation of the brand’s collaboration with high profile artists (see KAWS) and it seemed that no expense was spared with Diplo and Santigold on hand to entertain the crowd. Next Thursday, August 2nd, sees another release from the Seeker Friends series of prints from Jeff Soto (interviewed). The fifth in the line is entitled The Guitarist and again will be sized at 6 x 6″ and cost $25 + shipping with $1 of every sale going to plant one tree through the Plant A Billion Trees program. Last year WK Interact took to the streets of Paris to share his hardcore style with the folks in France “occupying” the streets. Then, he created a special spread for the inside of Wired Magazine.
