Releases: Aron Wiesenfeld – “David” Etching

Tomorrow, July 14th (noon PST), Aron Wiesenfeld will be releasing a limited edition etching on his webstore. David will be produced in a run of 45 (with 5 AP’s), sized at 18.5 x 15″, and will cost collectors who want to add it to their collection $295. With the opening of this year’s Comic-Con, we’ll have some news of things to look out for if you are in San Diego at the moment for the big event. The David B. Smith Gallery and artist Gregory Euclide recently released a series of prints from his Laid Down & Wiped Away project. Euclide teaches high school in Minnesota and during his twenty-five minute lunch periods began creating temporary paintings within that short allotted time frame as a demonstration to his students and an aesthetic challenge. Last Thursday, Luke Chueh’s signing and sketch tour celebrating the release of his book – Bearing the Unbearable continued with a rare appearance in the Bay Area at Spoke Art (previewed). Available at 11AM PST through Josh’s webstore, the signed and numbered edition of 150 is 18″ x 24″ with deckled edges and will cost $250 plus shipping and handling. Tomorrow night (July 5th) in San Francisco, Luke Chueh (interviewed) will be continuing his Bearing the Unbearable book signing tour (see Los Angeles). Also, of interest to Bay Area fans will be the release of new prints from his popular sushi series of paintings, with the originals created for a 2009 showing in LA.
