Releases: Hi-Fructose Vol. 14

Hi-Fructose Magazine will be releasing their next issue this coming January 2010. Cover artist Greg “Craola” Simkins (featured) has an exclusive interview and sketchbook sneak peek, alongside other artists such as Skinner, Gregory Euclide, Jesse Hazelip, Van Arno, Lola and many more. Volume 14 will be made available sometime in the next few weeks through your local retailer or online through Hi-Fructose. Preview pics after the jump.

If you’re like us at AM, you can’t wait until Josh Keyes’ (interviewed) show  at Jonathan Levine Gallery (previewed). But to keep his eager fans happy in the meantime, David B. Openings: HK Venture (Part II) – Jeremy Geddes

As we reported last month, the “HK Venture” exhibition featured an artist whose work left a lasting impression in our minds – Jeremy Geddes. The Melbourne-based artist has worked in illustration and comics, picking up a Spectrum Gold Award along the way. His new body of work features cosmonauts, seemingly weightless like in space, but suspended in urban environments instead. Releases: JR – “Women Are Heroes” Book

French photographer and street artist JR just announced the release today of his “Women are Heroes” book.  In addition to following JR’s international exploits and wheatpastes, this book also focuses on his subjects – the women of Africa, Asia and South America, offering their personal testimonials to the public for the very first time.  “Women are Heroes” is now available through Crakedz. Releases/Studio Visits: D*Face x Modern Multiples

AM recently visited the Master Printers over at Modern Multiples studio in Los Angeles as they were printing the latest offering by UK street art superstar D*Face (interviewed). Following the success of his previous print with the acclaimed studio, “Un-American Graffiti,” D*Face came correct with this second release, appeasing fans by releasing the “Coke Riot” image from his previous Jonathan LeVine show. “Coke Riot” was released yesterday at StolenSpace in either metal or wood editions, with a paper edition of 50 soon to come. Studio Visits/Releases: Faile – “Warriors of the Night” Print & Bronze Sculptures

Faile’s been heads-down working on some fantastic goodies that will be released TOMORROW. At Noon EST (9am PST), the collective will release some original works on paper, a new print entitled “Warriors of the Night” from their “Lost in Glimmering Shadows” series and two astounding bronze sculptures. AM visited the studio to view the goods up close and personal, and like past projects, the craftsmanship is top notch and most certainly will not disappoint. We got all the details after the jump.

Releases: Jose Parla – New Prints

Fans of Jose Parla’s urban calligraphy have three more reasons to be happy as word came out this week of three limited edition prints that will be released next month at Elms Lester. The London gallery will be holding a special event on December 5th to commemorate the release of the giclees (with over-layering of Parla’s trademark, free-flowing calligraphic markings using multiple hand printed silk-screens). All three will be editions of 100 and priced from £750 – £850. Images after the jump…

Releases: Above – “First Love”

The ever evolving street artist Above (interviewed) has just released in his online store a stunning new print of his Valentines Day image from earlier this year.  Composed of 12 colors, this screenprint measures in at an impressive 22″ x 30″ (55cm. X 76cm.), comes hand embossed, numbered and signed.  With two variants accompanying the release (the hand embellished one is already sold out), expect there to be something for any Above fan. Releases: Shepard Fairey and WK Interact – “Revolution Girl”

With WK Interact’s latest body of work currently showing at Subliminal Projects (covered), it’s no surprise that SP has decided to release a few of the remaining Shepard Fairey X WK Interact “Revolution Girl” screen prints from 2007. The print is signed by both Shepard and WK, measures in at 18″ X 24″ and can be found here.
