Edoardo Tresoldi for Cathédrale (New York)

Recently in New York, Italian artist Edoardo Tresoldi unveiled a stunning new ceiling installation for Cathédrale restaurant in Moxy East Village hotel. Entitled Fillmore, the large-scale suspended sculpture above the dining area utilizes the Italian artist’s ethereal mesh technique and draws inspiration from the iconic structure of Fillmore East, the legendary Lower East Side concert hall active until 1971 that featured The Doors, Janis Joplin, Elton John, and more. Jeff Soto for Empellón Al Pastor (New York)

After creating murals for Empellón Taqueria in New York a few years ago (covered), Jeff Soto (interviewed) has returned to paint for another restaurant from chef Alex Stupak. Empellón Al Pastor in the Pod 39 Hotel features three pieces from the Riverside, California-based artist utilizing his signature imagery. Openings: JR x Massimo Bottura – “Le Reffettorio Paris”

Last month, Le Reffettorio Paris opened its doors with the help of famed chef Massimo Bottura of Osteria Francescana and artist JR (interviewed). Housed in the crypts of the historic Madeleine church in Paris’s 8th arrondissement, the concept behind the space fits nicely with the setting. Jeff Soto for Empellón Taqueria (New York)

Earlier this month, Jeff Soto (interviewed) painted (with the assistance of his brother and sister-in-law) an impressive two-wall mural at Empellón in New York. Damien Hirst – “Pharmacy 2” Restaurant

After collaborating with restaurants in the past by incorporating his artwork into the decor, Damien Hirst has taken things to a whole new level. A new eatery was open last month by the British artist (in partnership with Mark Hix) at the Newport Street Gallery in Vauxhall, London. During the day, the restaurant serves visitors of the ongoing exhibitions while at night, it feeds diners when the gallery is closed. Hush Curated Decor For Vandal Restaurant (New York)

We recently received these exclusive shots of Pejac working on an indoor mural in London.
