Upcoming: Ron English – “Sugar High” @ Dorothy Circus Gallery

On February 20th, Dorothy Circus Gallery will be opening a new show from Ron English (featured) entitled Sugar High. For this solo in Rome, the self-styled master of Popoganda will be presenting a new body of work dedicated to the theme of food and health, taking satirical aim at American entities like the fast food industry and unhealthy cereals. Previews: Thomas Canto – “Still lifes of space time” @ Wunderkammern

Later this month (November 21st), Wunderkammern in Rome will be presenting new works from Thomas Canto, his first solo in Italy. Not one to be constricted by the confines of the traditional canvas, the French artist’s abstract but precise works often feature nylon strings or wall painting that extend past the frame extending the geometries of his artistic vision. James Reka was recently in Tormarancia, Rome, painting a new mural on a residential building. Recap: L’Atlas – “Transversal” @ Wunderkammern

Last month at Wunderkarmmern in Rome, L’Atlas unveiled a collection of new works entitled Transversal, featuring his signature maze-like aesthetic. The Paris-based street artist developed this unique style during an extended period of time in Morocco, Egypt and Syria where he studied with masters of all types of calligraphy.
