Releases: Haroshi x Uniful Limited Edition Skateboards

On September 5th, Japanese artist Haroshi (featured) introduced his limited edition skateboard decks released through Japanese skateboarding company Uniful. Thug For Life in the Shibuya district of Tokyo was packed with people that were interested in this release that instantly became hit in Asia. Along with the signed and numbered decks, the artist introduced a new sculpture that was made especially for this event. As previously announced, Tauba Auerbach recently opened a solo show at STANDARD (OSLO). Showing a whole new body of work that includes installation works, sculptural pieces, and canvases, the American artist worked with a wide range of materials from granite, sand, glass, resin, opal, to plywood and woven fabric. Previews: Isaac Cordal – “Cement Eclipses” @ Anno Domini

On this Friday (September 6th), Spanish artist Isaac Cordal will be bringing his Cement Eclipses stateside for a showing at Anno Domini in San Jose, California. His street interventions consisting of sculptures steeped with political and social implications have been hitting countries around the world for several years now. A pretty special show is opening up on September 6th at the Ronchini Gallery in London entitled Dream No Small Dreams. Featuring the work of three artists, Patrick Jacobs (seen above), Thomas Doyle, and Adrien Broom, whose specialties are in the small details of the miniature world, the show promises to be something that must be seen in person if you are in the area. With this year’s Video Music Awards from MTV only several days away, installation has already started for the event.
