After sharing with you works from Vhils and Liqen for this year’s Walk & Talk Festival, we turn our attention to the contributions of Mark Jenkins (interviewed) and Sandra Fernandez. The two artists decided to create some whimsical tape sculptures “riding” down to the ocean for the annual event held on the Archipelago of the Azores in Portugal. It’s always nice to see concept images become reality – with FriendsWithYou’s exhibition in Hong Kong being no exception. The new installation from the Miami-based duo entitled Happy Rainbow opened to the public recently at the TMTP Cultural Center to the delight of their fans there. The inflatable bouncing installations as well as fiberglass, plush and resin sculptures are always a hit with the younger crowd but certainly was fun for all ages. Via Designboom.
