Art for Tibet is up and running on their annual art auction featuring the works of Shepard Fairey, Kenji Hirata, Yuri Shimojo, Peter Parpan and about 40+ others. The auction will run live online until Thursday May 15th at 12pm, at which point online bidding will then be suspended to allow the live auction at the Tibet House in New York City from 6pm-8pm. Set to release online at a random time tomorrow, March 24th, is Shepard Fairey’s (featured) new print, Dark Wave / Rising Sun. Although the image may be a little foreboding for some collectors’ taste, the proceeds do go to a good cause – the relief efforts in Japan. The run will be 700, size 18″ x 24″, and priced at $60.
