Openings / Setup: CUT IT OUT! @ Urban Nation

A couple weekends ago, Urban Nation continued their ongoing arts program in Berlin with a new show curated by Henrik Haven & Olly Walker entitled CUT IT OUT!. Focusing on the artistic merit of the stencil, the group exhibition brought together some well known street artists skilled with the technique. Rewind: Jul 21 – Aug 3

Time for another segment of our Rewind feature. This edition’s highlighted video (via Colossal) comes from Icheon Ceramics Village in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, home to over 300 ceramics studios. The American Museum of Ceramic Art visited five of the artists (like Kim Seong-Tae seen above) last year to profile their work with some beautiful footage. La Tour 13 (Paris)

Over looking the Seine, La Tour Paris 13‎ is a project curated by Mehdi Ben Cheikh from Galerie Itinerrance. During a year, the entire building was painted by 100 international street and graffiti artists, each leaving their mark with murals and installations within the 36 apartments over 9 floors and cellars. Opening to the public for a month from October 1st, the building is due to be demolished in November, making it the largest temporary street art exhibition in France. Preview: “My Turn” @ Carmichael Gallery

This Saturday night (March 17) in Culver City, the Carmichael Gallery will be hosting a group exhibition entitled My Turn. The show is the first curatorial project from Los Angeles-based artist Bumblebee and features some of the young up-and-coming talent in the street and urban art movement including Hyuro, Interesni Kazki, Jaz, Klone, LinelineDot, Moneyless, Penny, Stinkfish, and Zeus.
