Openings: “Ephemeral” @ Circleculture

Currently showing in Berlin is Ephemeral, a group exhibition (curated by Johann Haehling von Lanzenauer) held at a temporary space by Circleculture in collaboration with Pret A Diner in Berlin (you may remember their work with Lazarides in 2011). Upcoming: Conor Harrington – “A Whole Lot of Trouble for a Little Bit of Win” @ The Outsiders (London)

Another week, another Streets: World Roundup. For this edition, our headlining mural is from the Los Angeles-based Andrew Hem (interviewed). Studio Visit / Auction: RETNA

Over the weekend, AM was invited to a special event presented by New Image Art & Robert Galstian at RETNA’s (featured) studio timed nicely to coincide with the Art Los Angeles Contemporary. After hitting up the iconic Bowery & Houston wall in the fall, the artists known as How & Nosm are ready to take their style indoors for NYC. Videos: Bill McRight Artist Profile

Following directly on from our studio visit with John Bocksel leading up to Curio‘s Sea Of Blasphemy group exhibition opening on 26th January, filmmaker Jarcob Arden McClure just finished this video profile of artist Bill McRight, who is also participating in the grouping along with Ben Venom, and Bonnie Brenda Scott. The video gives an interesting behind the scenes look into McRight’s studio as well as a history of how he came to concentrate his practice of making shanks and improvised weapons. Videos: New Adobe Campus

For artists out there who read AM or those in the design field, Adobe is definitely a company they are familiar with for their series of computer programs including Photoshop and Illustrator. Rapt Studio, who designed the interiors, recently invited artists in to the Adobe campus in Lehi, Utah to do installations and murals including a piece from El Mac that we recently featured. Streets: Interesni Kazki (India)

As you saw from one of our Streets: World Roundup articles earlier this month, Waone from Interesni Kazki has been traveling through India. It looks like he was able to keep painting as photos a new mural entitled Sadhu have been recently released. The wall located in south-west region of Kerala on the Malabar coast features locally influenced imagery on topics like meditation and the peacock dance that is common in the region.  Check out some more detailed shots below… Discuss Interesni Kazki here.
