Teaser: The Hole’s “RE:FORM SCHOOL” Group Exhibit

The Hole will play host to a group show in an abandoned school in NoLIta to raise money for educational reform this weekend, October 9 – 11th. Openings: “Family Tradition” curated by Ron English @ TT Underground Gallery

AM caught the opening of “Family Tradition” at TT Underground Gallery. Curated by Ron English, the group show re-imagines one of the classic mob sagas through the eyes of art. Jose Parla’s Concord Project Destined for The City of Toronto

There’s been a lot of buzz between Toronto and Brooklyn regarding Jose Parla’s incredible mural/installation called The Concord Project. We’ve pieced together this moving story with the help of our friend Simon at Show & Tell Gallery in Toronto. Basically, these pieces are destined for Toronto as a public arts project sponsored by Concord Pacific, in an effort to give back to the community. Previews: KAWS – “Passing Through” @ Harbour City (Hong Kong)

Last month we brought you a teaser of Kaws with his ginormous 5 meter high companion. Created to greet guests entering Kowloon’s Harbour City in for Hong Kong, the awe inspiring figure has arrived safely for it’s October 3rd opening entitled “Passing Through”. It appears that the city is preparing for the opening with assorted character wall paper installations to compliment the exhibition at the main entrances. Streets: Os Gemeos (Lithuania)

Sounds like the Os Gemeos brothers made a trip to Northern Europe recently to trace their ancestry. Their grandfather was originally from Lithuania before immigrating to Brazil and you can read the full story on their most recent blog post.
