Openings: Hi-Fructose Group Show – “Overdose” @ Copro Gallery

“Overdose” (previewed) opened this past Saturday at Copro Gallery in Santa Monica. Upon entering the gallery, you will notice several great pieces from “Overdose” on display in the gallery’s front room. Preview: “Overdose” Hi-Fructose Group Show @ Copro Gallery

After their highly successful group show last year, Hi-Fructose is back again with another exhibition, this time titled “Overdose,” opening April 4th at Copro Gallery.  With a increasingly more respected reputation as one of the best publications in the scene, they been able to assemble a pretty amazing lineup.  Sure to be one of the showstoppers is this huge 50 x 50 inch Chris Berens piece seen above.  See some other preview pics as well as the full lineup after the jump.

Openings: Lola’s Natural Beauties and Superschool @ Copro Gallery

“Natural Beauties” and “Superschool” (previewed) opened at Copro Gallery this past Saturday, March 7th. Upon entering Copro Gallery, you will see Lola’s solo show “Natural Beauties” on display in the room directly ahead. At the other wing of the gallery you will find “Superschool”, a group exhibition curated by Lola.  The two shows are on display until March 28th. Preview: Lola & Super School @ Copro Gallery

A couple interesting shows are opening this weekend at Copro Gallery (formerly Copro Nason Gallery) at the Bergamot Station complex in Santa Monica. The first is “Natural Beauties,” a solo show from Lola after her recent successful showing at Corey Helford Gallery. Black Maria’s “Muses” (previewed) group show opened February 7th and AM popped by to check it out. Muses features new work by Tin (above), Kendra Binney, and Jeremiah Ketner. Teaser: Tin @ Black Maria Gallery

Here is a little teaser painting called “Push” from Tin’s upcoming show at Black Maria Gallery on February 7th.  Five lucky collectors will be purchasing five deluxe print sets from the show featuring an 1 original 8×10 detailed drawing (pastel on paper),  3 prints on the deckled edge paper, and another original drawing that will be painted directly on the box top. Rounding up AM‘s whirlwind gallery tour of LA last weekend was Copronason’s show of Kukula, Tin, and Sas Christian. The Santa Monica gallery was busy with three appealing artists at its opening this past Saturday. As usual, Sas Christian presented a quality, not quantity body of work. Releases: Tin Prints x 2

In conjunction with his show “Tainted” (previewed) opening this weekend at Copro Nason, Tin will be releasing two prints for the two paintings seen here – “Hi” and “Stopping for Strangers.” These will be sized at 17 x 12″ and will be offered with two options – framed ($300) and unframed ($100).
