This past weekend, Thinkspace Gallery presented Tran Nguyen’s solo show titled The Synapse Between Here and There. The work on display showed a great mix of her work which included traditional paintings, detailed drawings and sketches. From wall to wall, the Georgia-based artist showed her sensibilities to create paintings which mixed a sense of realism with an aura of fantasy. Tomorrow night, July 16th, Tran Nguyen will open her solo show The Synapse Between Here and There at Thinkspace. The strong new body of work includes both paintings, detailed drawings, and concept sketches all featuring her light and deft touch with imagery bringing to mind beautiful illustrations that would fit on the cover of your favorite fantasy novel, but more refined and detailed. Coming up next month at the Thinkspace Gallery, Tran Nguyen will finally be getting her own solo at the Culver City gallery after successful showings in a number of group exhibitions. This Saturday night, August 7th, Thinkspace Gallery will be hosting “Love Conquers All”, a group show supporting the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender) struggle with 20% of the proceeds donated to Equality California. During our recent trip to Basel Week Miami, our friends at Thinkspace introduced us to an artist named Tran Nguyen. From the moment we saw her work, we were hooked. Lucky for us that she has a show just around the corner as her latest body of work “Nurturing The Uneased Soul” will be opening at Thinkspace Gallery this Friday (3/12).
