Continuing his long term collaboration with KP Projects // MKG, Greg “Craola” Simkins (featured) will be opening his latest exhibition at the West Hollywood gallery on May 21st. The upstairs area where Launch LA is located will also share the solo show and have the Los Angeles-based artist’s works on display. Jonathan Yeo Portrait Of Kevin Spacey For “House Of Cards” // National Portrait Gallery

At the end of last month, the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. unveiled a portrait of actor Kevin Spacey painted by Jonathan Yeo that will be on view through October. The event featured an appearance by Yeo as well as Spacey in character as Frank Underwood in his role for Netflix’s hit series House of Cards, marking the first time a fictional president had a painting of them hung in the portrait gallery of the institution (although not in the hall of real presidential portraits). Damien Hirst – “Pharmacy 2” Restaurant

After collaborating with restaurants in the past by incorporating his artwork into the decor, Damien Hirst has taken things to a whole new level. A new eatery was open last month by the British artist (in partnership with Mark Hix) at the Newport Street Gallery in Vauxhall, London. During the day, the restaurant serves visitors of the ongoing exhibitions while at night, it feeds diners when the gallery is closed. Recap: Vincent Van Gogh Flower Parade (Netherlands)

If you are the birthplace of Vincent Van Gogh, you are allowed to commemorate the 125th anniversary of his death in style. Zundert, a small town in the Netherlands near the Belgian border dedicated their annual celebration, the world’s largest volunteer-run flower parade to the influential Dutch post-Impressionist painter. Coming up in March, the HOCA Foundation will be presenting new works from Vhils (filmed), his first solo exhibition in Hong Kong (more info here).
