Andrew Schoultz
Andrew Schoultz and AJ Fosik opened up a pretty amazing show full of complex installations last weekend at Space 1026 in Philadelphia. We have never really envisioned their work interacting but the kinetic energy of Schoultz’s frenzied imagery blends nicely with the sculpts of Fosik’s beasts and folklore – perhaps it’s the complementary color palettes. Not to mention, the cryptic letterings of Fosik combines with Schoultz’s penchant for incorporating the symbolism of U.S. currency to form a body of work that hints of conspiracies and social commentary.
