The magical work of Camille Rose Garcia will be the center of attention for Jonathan Levine’s booth at this years SCOPE art fair in New York. They will be exhibiting new paintings, drawings, and sculpture from CRG as part of a site-specific installation, including a custom wallpaper, designed by the artist herself.
Jonathan Levine is also putting together a lecture and discussion panel on March 8th entitled “Private Property, Public Ideas: Street Art in Transition” along with a special screening of the movie “Bomb-It.” Participants include: Pedro Alonzo (Curator), Ron English, Steve Powers (aka ESPO), Jon Reiss (Producer/Director of Bomb-It), Marc and Sara Schiller (Wooster Collective), and Carlo McCormick (Editor of PAPER Magazine), who will moderate the discussion.
As with Art Basel (our coverage of the Miami fair), there will be many satellite fairs surrounding the main attraction, The Armory Show (March 5-8) with SCOPE, of course, being one of them. Others include Pulse, Bridge, Fountain, Red Dot, and Volta.
