Todd Schorr’s (interviewed) opening last night at Merry Karnowsky was a star-studded event with both celebrity collectors, artists, and paparazzi in full force. You know you aren’t at a normal art event when you are greeted with a red carpet on entrance, and when only media members were allowed to snap pictures.
Thankfully, when it was all said and done, the art was the true star of the event. Schorr’s body of work entitled “The World We Live In” delighted viewers with it’s concepts, magnitude, and attention to detail. Besides the paintings, there were also drawings, color studies, and both canvas and paper prints available for some of the work. Also on display were many of his past limited editions prints.
