As we touched on briefly in our Overtime (our weekly summary of art news that doesn’t make it as full articles) last week, a rare retrospective has been organized for the late Jean-Michel Basquiat at Fondation Beyeler in Switzerland for what would have been his 50th birthday. Vernissage TV has put together a nice video where footage of the exhibition can be seen overlayed with an interview with Sam Keller, Fondation Beyeler’s director and the co-curator of this exhibition. Comprising more than 100 paintings, works on paper, and objects from renowned museums and private collections around the world from, this is definitely one not to be missed if you are in the area.
