Miss Van, one of the feminine figureheads of street art, recently returned to her native France for her first solo showing there in three years.  The exhibition, entitled Twinkles, at the Parisian branch of Magda Danysz featured paintings and drawings of her signature enticing “poupes” in various states of undress and costume wearing – with increasingly darker overtones. The collection of work is certainly worth a look if you are in Paris, although many of the paintings have been seen already in a similarly named show in the gallery’s Shanghai space as well as at StolenSpace back in 2009.
