Openings: Group Show – “Breach of Privacy” @ Carmichael Gallery

For the those with voyeuristic tendencies out there, the Carmichael Gallery recently hosted the opening for a show that might fit your artistic taste. Breach of Privacy features the work of five NY-based artists – Yasmine Chatila, Hilo Chen, Adam Krueger, Alyssa Monks and Jaclyn Santos – and their explorations of the nature of voyeurism with their renditions and glimpses of private moments from afar all presented over a range of mediums including oils, mixed media, and photography. A couple weeks back, the Jonathan LeVine Gallery hosted a new body of work from Mars-1′s (featured) alongside Miss Van’s Bailarinas (covered). For this show, entitled Afterglow, Mars-1 elected to paint several large-scale, acrylic works on linen allowing him to expound on a grander scale his geometric visions of otherworldly landscapes.
