Through this weekend, the walls at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery will be displaying the surreal paintings of Victor Castillo. AM stopped by for the opening last month as the LA-based artist presented his new body of work, entitled The Jungle, which certainly described the state of the world that the Chilean-born painter likes to portray. His paintings are a reflection of the unrest and revolution that has been seen around the globe, accentuated and contrasted even further by the child-like figures and innocence that are featured in his pieces.
