For those who couldn’t make the trip for Conor Harrington’s (interviewed) exhibition Dead Meat opening tonight at London’s Lazarides (Rathbone Place), AM brings you an insider’s look into the artist’s compound as he was preparing for the show earlier last month. For this body of work, fans will see a conscious focus on the part of Mr. Harrington on his painterly talents. Also, as seen in these photos, Conor is a creature of minute details. His space is covered with photographic and still life references which are studied as subjects are perfected and deconstructed relentlessly until the desired effect is achieved. You will again see him refining his signature style of balancing historic eloquence with modern urban elements.
