Last night, James Jean (interviewed) premiered his latest body of work at New York’s Tilton Gallery. Entitled Parallel Lives, this amazing collection of works demonstrated the full spectrum of talent and techniques that makes James one of the hottest artists over the past decade.
Hours before the opening, hundreds of people were lined to get in to see the show and to grab a copy of the limited edition monograph (here). As previewed in our studio visit and installation shots, this recent series is a variable cornucopia of visual goodness for “art crackheads”! From figurative to abstract compositions, loose to tight techniques and diverse mediums canvas to volcanic pumice, nothing was off limits when JJ puts his creativity to use. The sow is up until the end of February, so if you’re in NYC before the winter ends, make a stop at Tilton Gallery.
