Openings: WK Interact – “WK 360” @ Jonathan LeVine (Pop-up)

A little while back, AM attended the opening for WK Interact’s mid-career survey at Jonathan LeVine’s pop-up outpost. Entitled WK 360 (previewed), this all-inclusive exhibition collected artwork from the past 25 years by the notable French-born & New York-based street artist’s storied career. From indoor to outdoor, WK has always fascinated us with two aspects of his art. The first is his ability to capture the kinetic energy through his motion driven works and the the second is his intricate and equally creative street “contraptions” that are […]

Upstart Spanish street sensation Aryz has been very busy working on outdoor murals since he burst onto the scene a couple years ago. Follow his instagram here to get more glimpses of what to expect. […]

Preview: Jessica Hess @ Subliminal Projects

Tonight, Saturday March 23rd, Shepard Fairey’s Subliminal Projects gallery will debut a new body of work by SF-based photorealist painter Jessica Hess. The two person show, also featuring Tara Smith, is entitled “Planes, Trains & Automobiles” and looks to be a great pairing between Hess’ deceivingly photo-realistic graffiti covered vehicles and Smith’s wonderfully washed out urban abstractions. Longtime readers will remember Hess’ last two person show a couple years ago with Kevin Cyr at White Walls Gallery in San Francisco (covered), AM looking forward to […]
