Cleon Peterson‘s first UK solo exhibition is on the horizon, so get ready for some carnage Londoners! Peterson’s stories are told in a typically monochrome language, and show a world where violence reigns, interspersed with quirky black humour. His stylized bogeymen are metaphor of course for oppressors of all kinds rather than a straight up glorification of violent people carrying out violent acts.
There is a War opens at The Outsiders Soho gallery space with a private view on Thursday July 4th and runs until August 3rd and features works from his Brinksman series as well as his wonderful tableaux street scenes so full of multi-dimensional blood drenched villainy. Definitely one to check out if you are in London.
