After working on a series of charity print releases, group shows, and projects with Roq La Rue, Camille Rose Garcia (interviewed) will be opening up a solo show at the Seattle showspace next month. Entitled La Danse Macabre, the new pieces, if going according to name for the fresh body of work, will thematically deal with the “Dance of Death,” an artistic genre in the Middle Ages that focused on the universality of dying, no matter one’s station in life. A fitting subject for the gothic imagery often seen in the Los Angeles-based painters work rendered in her signature palette. Head over for the opening on April 3rd if you are in the area.
