Last week, Rush Arts Gallery welcomed in a set of new paintings from Michael De Feo, his first solo in New York in more than 10 years. A Pocket Full of Posies from the man famously known for his iconic flower motif, oftentimes painted illegally on the streets, is somewhat of a departure artistically for him but makes sense as he explores his chosen subject in a more painterly fashion. Take a look at more photos from the opening below and head over to the Chelsea showspace for an artist talk on September 20th (3-5 pm) if you are interested in learning more about the work.
