The past year has been a memorable one for the Brooklyn Museum as they’ve hosted some amazing exhibitions from Swoon & Ai Weiwei and 2015 looks to keep pace as Kehinde Wiley, Basquiat and a upcoming show with Faile has already commanded the attention of New York’s art lovers. But first things first, it’s now April and time for their annual Brooklyn Artist Ball gala to raise funds for their creative and vanguard programming. This year’s Artist Ball Dinner has already sold out, but tickets are still available for the Dance Party which starts at 10PM (April 15th) for a night of dancing & eating with an open bar that will help ensure your donation is generously rewarded. If you’re on the look out for artwork by your favorite artists, look no further than Art Space who is hosting this year’s online benefit for the BM. There you can bid on gems by a long list of distinguished artists including Takashi Murakami, Kiki Smith, Dustin Yellin, Faile, Olek, Angel Otero, Rico Gatson and Shinique Smith.
