On September 1st, recent RISD MFA graduate Tristram Lansdowne (interviewed) will be opening a solo show in Toronto at Wil Kucey Gallery (formerly Le Gallery). Paintings by the Canadian artist for The Living Room were inspired by the modern homes designed by famous architect Le Corbusier and his cousin Pierre Jeanneret in their early years. The continued exploration of structures by Lansdowne for this show is accompanied with sound elements – recording of excerpts from texts that were important during the creation of the new body of work.
