Tonight (September 9th) in Tokyo, Atsuko Goto will be opening a new solo show at Lower Akihabara. Entitled An Empty Idol, the exhibition includes ethereal mix-media paintings from the locally-based artist featuring her signatures portraiture which draws inspiration from the Shinto religion. The subjects of the Japanese artist’s imagery are in tune with nature with birds, butterflies, flora, and animals nesting and interacting with their hair and faces.
