Following up on her solo there in 2015 (covered), Stella Im Hultberg (interviewed) will be opening a show at Spoke Art in San Francisco this Thursday, August 31st. Entitled Mago, the new body of work from the Portland-based artist includes paintings and drawings that explore her Korean heritage, traditional folk stories, and her experiences with having a child. The name of the exhibition is taken from the mother of mothers and root of creation in Korean mythology, something that resonates with Stella as a mother and an artist. Available first to attendees of the show will be her new new limited edition print seen below of The Archer.
