Tomorrow night (March 24th) in Indiana at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, Andrew Schoultz will unveiling new work in a show entitled This Marvelous and Turbulent World. On view will be a large wall mural, a one sided chess match installation, along with displays of his recent work.
He further explains – “Chaos and destruction are reccurring themes in my work because I see these things happening around us constantly. Whether it is the multiple wars being fought all over the world, the natural disasters that seem to happen on a regular basis, the man-made environmental disasters that are becoming more and more prevalent, to the economic crisis that has been crushing this country’s poor and middle class for years, I have observed that we cannot talk about one of these things without talking about all of them, so it becomes a monster of a subject.”
