Last month at Galleri Benoni in Copenhagen, a show featuring the work of Bo Rune Madsen was on view entitled Bule Boy Ammer Verden (Mensh). The Danish artist is best known for his role as founder of the alternative rock band Mew, one of the most critically acclaimed bands to come out of Scandinavia, but has moved on to focus on his art since he left the band in 2015. The new body of work is like a “portrait exhibition that revolves around shapes and colors, as a representation of real life, but with dents and folds.”
