On January 28th, a unique art event will open at the Pima Art and Space Museum in Tucson, AZ featuring the work of over 30 artists. The Boneyard Project: Return Trip is a continuation of Eric Firestone Gallery’s Nose Job show last year (photos here) that focused on paintings on airplane nose cones, but this time will also feature disused airplanes from America’s military history including DC Super 3 planes painted by How & Nosm (seen above), Nunca, and Retna, a C97 cockpit by Saner, a C45 plane by Faile, and a Lockheed VC 140 Jetstar by Andrew Schoultz.
Other participants include Aiko, Bast, Dan Colen, Crash, Tristan Eaton, El Mac, Ron English, Shepard Fairey, Futura, Tara McPherson, Richard Prince, Kenny Scharf, Eric White and more (see full list, show card, and video teaser after the jump)…
