Coming up in October, fans of Roland Tamayo’s (interviewed) work will finally have the opportunity to see a solo from the LA-based artist in his hometown at the Gallery 1988 on Melrose. Featuring his signature and intriguing mix of the industrial and natural world, Where The Heart Is is dedicated to his twin boys who have been an inspiration for this new body of work. Tamayo will be playing with images from his hometown, sea creatures, and nostalgic thoughts .and pop culture that his children are starting to enjoy as well.
Looks like he got ahold of some Warhol cans as well…
