Brooklyn certainly seems to be getting their fair share of high-profile art projects recently. After Barry McGee’s large scale mural (covered here & here) in October at the Mark Morris Dance Group, the borough will will now see the work of José Parlá adorn the new home of the Brooklyn Nets – The Barclays Center. The 70-foot-long mural entitled A Diary of Brooklyn will be unveiled early next month in the Dean Street lobby and will be visible from the street. This won’t be Parlá’s first public work in BK as he also completed a massive painting (covered) for the lobby of the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s new building a couple of blocks away.
