Joining the plethora of artists that have had art visible from the High Line in New York, Barbara Kruger unveiled a mural she designed earlier this year (and on view through March 2017). Haroshi – “Battle At The Berrics 9” Trophy

As he has done in the past (see 5 & 7), sculptor Haroshi (featured) recently created the trophy for the ninth edition of the Battle At The Berrics. Perfectly matched with the contest held at the indoor skatepark in Los Angeles, the Japanese artist chose this time to create his version of the number 9 with his usual medium of choice – used skatedecks. Continuing their longstanding public arts program, Urban Nation in Berlin recently completed their ninth edition – Project M/9. Curated by JUSTKIDS and StreetArtNews, the event this time hosted Borondo (seen above), Fafi, Bicicleta Sem Freio, Askew, 1010, and Eron as they painted walls in the capital city with “Colors” as the theme. Camilla d’Errico Coastal.com Eyewear Collection

Coastal.com recently released an eyewear collection that Camilla d’Errico designed with Derek Cardigan. The four frames all feature tiny slivers of some of the Vancouver-based artist’s manga-influence imagery, specifically her paintings Xiomara, Water Wheel, Neo New York, and Loveless Bird (two minimalist palettes & two with vibrant and saturated colors). Building on the themes he first unveiled with an installation on the first and second floor of the Eiffel Tower back in November, Shepard Fairey (featured) opened a new solo last night at Galerie Itinerrance entitled Earth Crisis (more on this later). This imagery was further extended with a new mural last week in Paris (60 rue Jeanne-d’Arc, 75013) utilizing the same turquoise and blue that the American artist is utilizing for his new exhibition to remind us to take care of our air, water, and vegetation as well as to preserve […]

Curated by Tilt, the second edition of the Rose Beton Festival in Toulouse (FR) paid tribute to the graffiti scene. The festival kicked off with an exhibition at Chateau d’Eau featuring the iconic photographs by Martha Cooper & Henry Chalfont (interviewed) as well as emerging photographer Sylvain Fargot.
