Streets: Gaia (Rochester, Richmond and Baltimore)

Baltimore based artist and muralist, Gaia, is very busy this summer traveling and painting murals. After finishing a couple of walls in Montreal, he recently visited Rochester for the Wall Therapy project, Richmond for the Richmond Mural project, and Baltimore for the Wall Hunters project. On Thursday night (August 1st), Roq La Rue will be hosting all new works from painter Tran Nguyen (alongside Jason “Ti Kunkit” Wheatley). After a couple showings in Los Angeles (here & here), A Place Procurred From Our Yesteryears will build on the delicate portraiture we have seen from her in the past with new acrylic & colored pencil pieces as well as some sketches. During 3 years the Crimes of Minds project invited local and international artists to create 21 murals across the city of Brest (France), transforming the city into an urban art museum (see previous coverage here).
