We know it’s a trek to get out to the show even if you are in Basel at the moment, so if you can’t make it out before the August 26th close, just take a […]

Streets: DALeast (Vienna)

The prolific artist DALeast has struck again, this time in Vienna. The South Africa-based Chinese artist painted a mural that draws from his roots as the title of this latest piece is “-“, the a character that means “one” in Chinese. Painted over some scattered graffiti, the work featuring his animal characters rendered with his kinetic brushstrokes blends in nicely with the wall. Take a look at more photos below… Discuss DAL here.

These were then dismantled into their individual parts and filled with six bottles of wine with the artwork adorning each one. Customers who buy these bottles will also own one section of the original painting. Take a look […]

Streets: Nychos (Denmark)

Earlier this month (June 1-8), the Viborg International Billboard Painting Festival kicked things off with new work from Nychos. The Vienna-based street muralist brought his cartoonish anatomical aesthetic to Denmark and painted a series of works on billboards & walls, ranging from painterly techniques to graffiti. Other artists scheduled to make appearances include Blade, John Howard, Horphe, Ken Sortais, Christian Dinesen, and Anders Reventlov Larsen. Check out more photos of Nychos’ work below… Photo credit: Henrik Haven. Discuss Nychos here.

Streets: Hyuro (Copenhagen)

While in town for her show in Copenhagen (covered), Hyuro also spent time working on a massive new mural over 270 meters long. Spending about two weeks painting her progressive imagery featuring an elk making a transformation as it trots through a forest, the long piece is a gift to her fans in the Danish capital. Take a more detailed and extensive look in the photo set below… Photo credit: Henrik Haven. Discuss Hyuro here.
