You may remember in September of last year, Brookyln duo Faile held a pop-op show (covered) on the Lower East Side in New York. Openings: Marco Zamora – “New Work” @ POVevolving Gallery

Over this past weekend, the POVevolving Gallery hosted Marco Zamora’s new artwork which continues to explore the artist’s fascination with the urban landscape. Featuring large scale paintings and a structure completely formed with cinder blocks, Zamora manages to explore what it means to live within the constructs of a city. For the visitor, it’s easy to take notice of the artist’s appreciation for this type of setting which is captured with rich monochrome shadows and bright pastel colors that streak across the paintings. However, further […]

This wall was painted in Cologne as part of the Cityleaks Urban Art Festival which also includes involvement from Alexandros Vasmoulakis, Claudio Ethos, Faith47, Escif, Herbert Baglione, Roa, Sam3, Lucy McLauchlan and Will Barras among others. A closer look at the head […]

Live Painting: Anthony Lister @ ProjectRoom (Berlin)

Aussie street artist Anthony Lister (interviewed) recently hit up Berlin’s ProjectRoom (Jaybo’s showspace).  You may remember other events held there like the collaboration between Remi/Rough – Jaybo – Juice 126 or the Herakut live painting. Apparently this will be kicking off a six day painting marathon for Lister in German capital. More photos after the jump…

Banksy – “Gas Mask Boy” @ Sotheby’s

What appears to be a previously unseen piece from Banksy by the general public has surfaced for an auction at Sotheby’s London at the end of the month. Just as stunning as her light-infused piece from the Art in the Streets exhibition, this suspended ocean goddess is entitled Thalassa and is made of wood & paper and located above NOMA’s Great Hall with layered tentacles created from scavenged materials stretching to the mezzanine. Inspired by her reaction to the Deepwater Horizon oil disaster, the piece will be on display until September 25th. Take a look at photos […]
