Interviews: Shepard Fairey x Hublot Timepiece

After series of successful collaborations with different brands and types of products, Shepard Fairey (featured) just revealed his latest joint effort with luxury Swiss watchmaker Hublot as the latest addition to their “Hublot Loves Art” series. Streets: Mar-1 / RAD Napa Project

Following up our previous coverage of the RAD Napa project (curated by Thinkspace and sponsored by The Napa Valley Wine Train), we now have photos from something Mars-1 (featured) painted recently. Creating a mural from his Infinite Tapestry series next to the railroad tracks, the Bay Area-based artist wove multiple globes of his bubbles together on the two part wall. Streets: Blek Le Rat (San Francisco)

While in town for his showing (more on this later) at Weinstein Gallery, legendary street artist Blek Le Rat spent some time working some of his stencil magic in San Francisco. Hitting several locations including the Hastings College of Law, the French artist was able make his mark on the area including conjuring up appearances of his famous rat. While in town for their current solo show at Underdogs Gallery (more on this later), PichiAvo completed a stunning new mural near the Santa Apolónia railway station utilizing their signature palette. Soaring high into the urban landscape, the multi-story mural from the Spanish duo features their signature remix of ancient Greek and Roman sculptures with their love for graffiti. Andrew Schoultz Paints Winchester Skatepark (Las Vegas)

Continuing his longstanding work within skate culture, Andrew Schoultz recently completed a project in Las Vegas earlier this month at the skatepark at the Clark County Winchester Cultural Center. Working with his team, the Los Angeles-based artist painted the ramps, pyramids and other obstacles with his signature imagery including the all-seeing eye. In related news, Schoultz will return to the area on June 2nd when his show at UNLV’s Marjorie Barrick Museum opens. Streets: Peanuts Global Artist Collective (New York)

As mentioned in our introduction to the Peanuts Global Artist Collective earlier this month, murals featuring the work of some of the participating artists were unveiled in New York. Painted on the side of downtown office buildings on the West Side near Hudson Square, imagery inspired by Charles M.
